Flowers are so often beautiful and captivating in their
own right. The challenge is to photograph them in our
world, to give a sense of where they are and the places
they can augment. This does not always come naturally
Paeonia mascula, called Wild Peony, growing in the rock garden
at Wisley. The classic clean lines of this flower contrast with more
flamboyant and arguably fussy forms. It grows outside modern
