Jersey Lichens
This project lasted for several years, covering
research, photography and book design services.
The book The Lichens of Jersey was published in 2015.
Jersey is a beautiful island and it has been a
genuine pleasure to have been involved in this work
Jersey is an island with a complex and rocky coastline. It also
has numerous seabirds perching on the rocks. A result of the
increased eutrophication of those rocks is quite a presence in
coastal areas of the orange lichen Xanthoria calcicola, as well as
the yellower X. parietina and the rarer coastal X. aureola.
